Eco-Social Changes is a creative, community-based project that brings people together across the divide in Cyprus through art, creativity, and environmental peacebuilding. Co-facilitated by an Art Therapist and a Creative Coach, the project creates inclusive spaces of free expression, dialogue, and reflection, fostering a shared vision of peaceful and sustainable coexistence with each other and with our environment.

Creative Arts Workshops | Women’s Shelter:

Nicosia

These workshops emerged from creative art practices carried out with women living in the Nicosia Municipality Women’s Shelter, within a safe and inclusive space.
Creative expression became another language at moments when speaking felt difficult, opening space for emotions, intuitions, and inner resources to become visible.
The aim was to support participants’ self-confidence, strengthen their coping skills, and accompany them in rebuilding an inner safe space they could always return to.

A cup of coffee becomes a doorway into the inner world.
In this workshop, coffee fortune reading becomes a creative way to touch vulnerability, transform narratives, and look at one’s own story anew.

Vulnerability, Connection, and Seeing the Invisible
Inspired by The Little Prince, this workshop explored themes of vulnerability, love, and connection through creative art practices. Vulnerability was approached not as a weakness, but as a creative space—an opening into the inner world. The light that enters through cracks pointed toward love, loss, and the search for meaning.
Throughout the workshop, participants reconnected with a sensitivity often suppressed in adulthood but still alive within a child’s perspective. Through artistic techniques, they were invited to question both their inner and outer worlds and to explore the question: What lies beyond what is visible?

Vulnerability, Empathy, and the Transformative Power of Art
Vulnerability is often associated with weakness. Yet art has the power to reverse this perception, transforming vulnerability into a space for exploration, expression, and change.
The Reconciliation workshop series I facilitated in 2017, as part of Paphos European Capital of Culture, offered a tangible example of this approach.
